Experience the true spirit of kintsugi using real urushi lacquer and gold powder, guided by a professional artisan in Osaka.

Most workshops use synthetic materials so you can finish quickly.

This experience is different.

Here, you will learn the real process, philosophy, and meaning behind kintsugi — not just the technique.

What makes this experience unique

✔ Use of real urushi lacquer (natural sap)

• ✔ Learn the history, philosophy, and cultural background

• ✔ Experience the final stage (Kinmaki) using 23K gold powder

• ✔ Small group (max 5 people) for a personal experience

• ✔ Enjoy making and drinking matcha

• ✔ Your finished piece will be carefully shipped to your hotel or home

👉 The full kintsugi process takes over a month to complete

In this workshop, you will experience the most beautiful and important stage, while understanding the entire process.

Please Note

This workshop is not suitable for guests who wish to break ceramics on purpose and repair them quickly with glue. Such methods are not traditional Kintsugi and do not reflect the true spirit of this craft.
